I may be small in stature, but what I lack in size I make up for in fiery fiestiness and a relentless devotion to the community. We even go swimming as a group, my colony and I. Ah, the irony of fire ants in the water.... Okay, technically it's called rafting, but even the Queen comes along on these float trips. But don't invade our space...we're very territorial and our home defense includes a poisonous posterior and a nasty nibble. But I promise, insect or not, I'm a wonderful dining companion! In fact, just the other day, Mr. AntEater absolutely insisted I drop in for lunch....
